Hi! I’m Yuko, the creator of MochiNotes 🍡
Born and raised in Osaka, Japan—and now living in Ontario, Canada—I created this space to share Japan’s charm from a local’s perspective.
Before moving to Canada, I worked as a licensed tour conductor in Japan, guiding travelers through some of the country’s most beautiful and culturally rich destinations. I even held the General Travel Services Manager certificate (総合旅程管理主任者), which allowed me to lead multi-day tours across Japan.
My goal is to help first-time visitors and curious explorers understand not just where to go in Japan, but how to truly connect with the people, traditions, and stories that make each place special.
Through MochiNotes, you’ll find personal travel tips, cultural insights, and friendly guidance—especially focused on my home region: Kansai (Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, and beyond). Whether you’re here for hidden spots, local food, or culture shock moments, you’re in the right place.
